The boomerang challenge is the opportunity to share with throwers from other countries and Fadjar Hidajat from Indonesia accepted to give us an interview.

ABC : What about you ?
FH : I discover the boomerang about three years ago from my friend in Indonesia Listyo Bramantyo. And I have learned to throw and make from him. And now I made some of my boomerangs.
ABC : Do you compete ?
FH : Yes , I do participate the competition. I became the organizer of the 5th Indonesian Boomerang Tournament in the city where I live, Semarang, Central of Java, Indonesia.
ABC : How can we follow the boomerang activity in indonesia ?
FH : You can join in the facebook group INASBA (national group) or BooMerang Sport Semarang (BoSS/my city where I live group) to follow the boomerang activity in Indonesia.

ABC : what are your favorites events (MTA, Aussie , Fast catch) ?
FH : My favorites event are Fast Catch, MTA and Aussie Round.
ABC : Are there many boomerang throwers in indonesia ?
FH : There are 300 throwers in Indonesia, I guess there is organization of boomerang in Indonesia, the one i am following in is Asosiasi Bumerang Indonesia (in English : Indonesian Boomerang Association) and has organized competition six times.
ABC : do you throw with friends in a club or equivalent structure ?
FH : Yes, I throw with my club Boomerang Sport Semarang (BoSS)
ABC : Do you think the boomerang is going to grow in indonesia ?
FH : Yes, I believe that boomerang, especially sport boomerang will grow up in Indonesia.
ABC : What are the difficulties you are facing when you make your boomerangs ?
FH : The difficulties that I face when I make a boomerang is to get a good material.
I only make my boomerangs for competition from ABS and Polypropylene. I also make some from natural elbows for collection.
ABC : how is the boomerang seen in your country ?
FH : The majority of Indonesian people still consider that boomerang is the original weapon of Aborigines to fight and they are afraid about it. So that I have to give an explanation to them.
ABC : what are your favorites boomerangs ?
FH : I like all of the type of the boomerangs but my favorite are
- Aussie Round (I'm the 1st place of this category in 5th Indonesian Boomerang Tournament 2015),
- Fast Catch (I'm the 3rd place of this category in 5th Indonesian Boomerang Tournament 2015),
- MTA (I'm the 2nd place of this category in 4th Indonesian Boomerang Tournament 2014)
- Endurance, even if I didn't get a place of this category. hehehe...
ABC : Do you sell boomerangs ?
FH : I do sell the boomerang.
ABC : Is it easy to buy a boomerang in indonesia ?
FH : Yes, it is very easy to buy boomerang in Indonesia, especially boomerangs that made of plastic material
ABC : what medias are you using to share information (internet, blogs, facebook, youtube, other ?)
FH : I use the internet, facebook, instagram, and other social media
ABC : is it easy to find materials ( wood, plywood, plastic, fiber ) ?
FH : It's difficult to find plywood and fiber material but not for plastic (ABS, Polypropylene, PVC etc)
